CHECK
Objective: The
“checking” stage is the point in which you examine your “doing” as an
individual and as a group. You begin to focus on the pros and cons of your
current product and examine how you should pursue forward to best communicate
your planned idea.
Steps
- How
have others artists communicated your idea?
• What historical artists have created
artworks that align with your idea?
• How does your artwork relate and
differ in terms of visual style, meaning and culture?
- Share
your reasoning and choices behind your artwork (class or group critique)
• Observe and describe in detail your
reasoning and choices for the physical properties of the art.
• Describe your themes, subjects and
symbols you are using in your artwork.
• How have you used the elements and
principles to aid in communicating your idea.
- Creative
process in other disciplines.
• How could this creative process of
plan, do, check and adjust align with other disciplines and life?
- Checking phase 2 and on
You will continuously check
your product after and during the moment of doing. At these stages you should
be reflecting upon the questions above and asking yourself whether your product
is becoming more successful in communicating the idea.
PLAN?
• How might the contributions
of artists effect a historic or contemporary community and society?
